The 2011 documentary Beatles Stories, which features a wide variety fans from both inside and outside of the entertainment world sharing their personal recollections about the Fab Four, will officially be released as a DVD and digital download on October 2.

Among the many musical luminaries appearing in the film are Graham Nash, The Doors' Ray Manzarek, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, The Moody Blues' Justin Hayward, The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson and Art Garfunkel.

The documentary is the brainchild of filmmaker/songwriter/musician Seth Swirsky, who in 2004 began traveling around the world collecting people's tales about their firsthand encounters with The Beatles.

Other stars featured in the flick include former Moody Blues/Wings member Denny Laine, Badfinger's Joey Molland, late Monkees singer Davy Jones, Motown legend Smokey Robinson, Fab Four producer George Martin and longtime Beatles friend and collaborator Klaus Voormann. Swirsky also interviewed such well-known actors as Ben Kingsley, Jon Voight and Henry Winkler.

The DVD will offer bonus interview footage and commentary from Swirsky. An exclusive clip from the flick featuring Nash sharing his experiences at The Beatles' famous live TV performance of "All You Need Is Love," has been posted at RollingStone.com.

To coincide with the DVD's release, a special screening of Beatles Stories will be held the same day at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles
